What is CARTONOVA File Converter

This tool perform conversion between different files format like kml, GPX , Geojson , DXF and txt files.

More than convert a file, this tool allow changing spatial reference systems of the converted files

Also you can verify your data by displaying them on the map

Supported files formats

Text format : is the simple way to import or export coordinates, the folowing example show how a text file should be created to be successfully imported, you can as separator comma (,) or semicolon (;)

You can export in text format all drawing but in 2D only, if you want to export the altitude information choose csv format instead

DXF files : is one of CAD (Computer-Aided Design) files, this format is widly used by CAD software programs as universal format for storing CAD models. Developed by Autodesk but it considerated as Drawing Exchange Format file.

CSV files : used only to export points with altitudes,knonw as comma-separated values (CSV) file is simply a text file that contain a list of data and uses a comma to separate values. Each line of the list is a data record. Each record consists of one or more fields, separated by commas.

KML files: Keyhole Markup Language (KML), use XML format to store geographic modeling information. which is a geographic information systems (GIS) data format based on XML, It can store placemarks, points, lines, polygons, and images.

GPX files : GPS Exchange Format (GPX), is a light-weight XML data format for the interchange of GPS data between applications and Web services. It can store waypoints, tracks, and routes.

Geojson files: GeoJSON based on the JSON format. is an open standard format designed for encoding a variety of geographic data structures. It supports the following geometry types: Point, LineString, Polygon, MultiPoint, MultiLineString, and MultiPolygon.
